This Life

This Life – This is a project I recorded in 1998 or thereabouts using a Techniques digital piano and a Techniques AC 1200 sequencer MIDI. It is sort of a “smooth jazz” inspired project. I tried on a couple of occasions to re-mix and re-master the tracks but never arrived at anything I was satisfied with, so the project sat for a while. I still have the intention of re-mixing the album… someday when I have more time (right!)… So, what you hear now is what it is in its current state…

The songs on the album are original compositions except for Peter Gunn Theme, written by Henry Mancini, Sea of Love written by John Phillip Baptiste and George Khoury, and More Than You’ll Ever Know (aka More) written by David B. Crawford and Roy Lee Johns and featuring my friend Don Brown on keyboards. I later dubbed in synth strings and chimes for some extra layers.
